High capacity plants

It is not an exaggeration to say that the majority of Romanian bricks are produced with SABO machines. The large Wienerberger plants in Sibiu, Triteni and Gura Ocnitei are all made by SABO. The renovated factory of the Kromberger group in Sastuc too. Finally the two new factories under construction in Zalau Salaj and Targu Jiu under SACMI as main contractor are equipped with SABO machines. Here is the presentation of the project of Gura Ocnitei.

In year 2008, an important plant in Italy in the village of Alfonsini (Ravenna) has been started to be constructed in collaboration with company SACMI in Imola.

The owner of the plant is Gruppo IBL-UNIECO, one of the main producers of bricks and tiles in North Italy. The plant has a capacity of 1300 tons per day of various products and more specifically of the following types: Horizontal perforated bricks, heavy blocks with interlocking, ceiling blocks and small bricks 1NF and 2NF.

In 2008 Wienerberger assigned to Sabo the construction of all the machines for the second line of plant Kiprewo in the promising and booming market of the Russian republic The project was delivered successfully in the first half of. 2009 Woenerberger was already operating a line in Kiprewo

K.E.B.E group, one of the principal producers of bricks and tiles in Greece, has trusted company SABO SA , to study and construct all automatic systems at their new plant, situated at Kilkis, at the north of Thessaloniki.

The main characteristics of the plant, apart from the large capacity production, are the two cutting lines and the great flexibility for changing the type of produced product, based on using robots systems (anthropomorphic robots) during the principal phases of the process.

The plant has a production capacity of 2.000 ton per day of fired material of a vast variety of products: horizontal perforated bricks, light blocks, heavy blocks with interlocking and small bricks of 1NF.

In an area with a great tradition in manufacturing clay roofing tiles, the new brickworks ‘Vavouliotis-Gounaris-Mitakis’ is producing since July 2006, nearby the SABO S.A. plant.

The brickworks called HALKIS.2 was entirely designed and built by SABO S.A. and has an annual production capacity of 30 million pressed tiles using refractory H-cassettes.

This represents another step forward in the production of high quality roofing tiles for the purchaser who already has a plant for firing tiles in U-cassettes.
