Medium capacity plants

Masinac Brick Factory

At the beginning of 2009, SABO delivered successfully new equipment for the factory of Masinac in Svilajnak, Serbia. It has been decided that the existing factory needed a complete modernization by installing new machines and equipment. All automatic machines have been replaced by new while in the existing kiln and dryer the necessary important modifications have been made. The modernized plant was designed to produce 400 tons/day of fired product with the possibility to increase in the future with small interventions. For this reason, robots have been used in all critical parts of the line

Mladost Tile Factory

In 2008 SABO delivered for the group Mladost and more specifically for the plant Mladost in Leskovac machines for the upgrade and improvement of production of tiles. The plant was an existing one seeking improvement in both quality and capacity.
SABO has made a study and reviewed the most important priorities of the factory, discussed extensively with the customer’s engineers and based on this cooperation the final order has been decided.

Project for Blocks and Bricks

Robot loading wet products

During the year 2006 the multinational group WBI assigned to SABO S.A. the supply of automations for a modern high production capacity brick plant in SIBIU-Romania. The lines were designed and implemented combining conventional technology with modern robotic technology for the production of high quality wall porotherm blocks.

The plant has a production capacity approximately 660 ton/day of fired product, equal to 250.000 ton/year and 140 million of normal format equivalent/year. The factory is able to produce a wide range of different formats ranging from the standard WBI blocks and ceiling blocks up to small Romanian type.

U-cassette project in Vavouliotis-Gounaris-Mitakis

After an extensive market survey, the largest clay brick manufacturer in Greece, the Vavouliotis - Gounaris - Mitakis group, decided to invest in the production of quality roofing tiles. A new plant would have been an easier path to follow, but the high costs involved, were a determining factor in preferring the conversion of an old brick plant. The task was not an easy one, with space constraints and the request of maintaining the existing dryer and kiln.

Ledra Brick Factory

In 2002, the entrepreneur Varnavas Nicolaou embarked on a major technological renovation of his plant, the Ledra Brick Factory in Nicosia, Cyprus.

The remodeling project was assigned to SABO S.A.,which for years has speciallized in the design and construction of complete plants for heavy clay products. The task was a distinctively challenging one because of the large range of products (30 different types, categorized in perforated bricks, wall blocks, facing bricks, terracota pavers and listels) which called for a functional and flexible plant layout.

Nexe Group in Sarajevo

In year 2005 SABO S.A. commissioned the new factory of Nexe Group in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina for the production of 500 tons of fired product per day. The factory is designed to produce large porous blocks of various sizes.

The wet and dry products are loaded on pallets and dried in a high- capacity double-zone tunnel, dryer, utilizing the latest control technology. Special emphasis has been given in the handling of the wet on chains to avoid deformations and ensure maximum quality.
