Chihelna Hodonin

In 2010 SABO is going to deliver for the Chihelna Hodonin in Czech Republic machines for the upgrade and improvement of production of the existing Brick factory. The plant was an existing one seeking improvement in both quality and capacity.
SABO has made a study and reviewed the most important priorities of the factory in 2006 in two steps, discussed extensively with the customer’s engineers and based on this cooperation the final order has been decided.
In the first step SABO was ordered all the machines from loading -unloading the dryer frame up to the setting of the kiln, completely new equipment for the kiln with the target to achieve the capacity of the 300 ton per day in one line from the 140 ton per day in two lines. In this step Sabo had to delivered new machines and to reconstructed the existing old equipment in order to make the line to produce 41 differed kind of fired materials in one line instead of the old two.

LOADING UNLOADING OF DRYER
In the wet line a robot is used for the loading of the frame. Special grippers have been designed for the robot so that to be able to load all types of the materials on the dryer frame.

EMPTY FRAMES STORAGE SYSTEM
A new empty frames storage system was installed to make the line capable to feed the chamber dyers with the biggest way in order to gives the power to the line to load all the types of the materials with the requisite capacity.

SETTING
Robotized setting machine has been installed new to load the kiln car. Is equipped with all the necessary equipment to set packs of different configurations (wall setting for blocks, tilting etc). This ensures maximum flexibility and quality in the firing by using the ideal setting.
In 2010 the customer decided to proceed into the second step with the target to achieve the capacity of the 500 ton per day.
In this step Sabo was ordered all the machines to improve the existing dryer with a new automatic regulation system, completely new equipment for the kiln, new equipment, a new automatic movement for the kiln cars from the exit of the kiln up to unsetting machine then to the new cleaning of the kiln cars machine until the existing setting machine and an unsettling – grinding and packaging machine for the ready materials. The capacity of the factory after the investment will be 500 ton per day.
Dryer equipment
The existing dryer was in a good condition, and could give the required capacity.
It has been decided that the most important investment needed was a new ventilation system –heating generator and the installation of an automatic regulation system to control it.
Such a system indeed had a great impact on the energy consumption of the dryer.
Kiln equipment
New fans as well as new burners have been installed, renovating completely the kiln. An automatic regulation system has been also installed for the kiln. Particular emphasis has been given in minimizing losses from the kiln by putting 4 doors , 2 at the entrance and 2 at the exit.
Automatic movement of the kiln cars
Most of the equipment of the existing automatic movement system for the kiln cars has been replaced with new.

UNSETTING PACKGING LINE
Robotized unsetting machines has been installed new to unload the kiln car. The line is equipped with all the necessary equipment to set and unset packs of different configurations (wall setting for blocks, tilting etc). This ensures maximum flexibility and quality in the ability to create different final packs based on the market needs.

GRINDING LINE
The new automatic line with the Wassmer grinding machine was designed to produce 500 tons/day of fired grinding product with the possibility to increase in the future with small interventions. For this reason, robots have been used in all critical parts of the line.
The last years Sabo are working closely with Wassmer company for buying grinding machines for our lines.
The grinding Wassmer machine has a lot of advantages as a design. Some to mention are :
- large grinding wheels (1100mm) leading to high efficiency
- wheels with modular design (small pieces) for easy change
- high capacity
- flexibility in how the bricks will enter the machine
- diamond tools will be selected after testing of your product in Wassmer.

AUTOMATIC KILN CAR CLEANING MACHINE
Anew Sabo cleaning of kiln cars machine was ordered in order to clean and prepare the kiln cars for the setting machine in order first to protect the new kiln cars and second to prepare the kiln car for a good setting and the stability of the packets of the dry materials.
