SABO’ s Power & Automation team successfully completed the upgrade of the 20/0.4 kV substation for an Ink Industry in Chalkida. The new project was designed to meet the power requirements of the new machines installed in the context of the complete equipment modernization of the industry's plant.
As part of the refurbishment, our experienced engineers dived into the following:
Replacement of the existing 20kV panel with a new environmentally friendly SF6free vacuum switchboard by Eaton.
Replacement of the existing oil transformer 630kVA, with a new Dry Type Transformer Tier 2 Low Losses 1250 kVA.
Construction of a new LV switchgear 2000A with automatic transfer (Grid - Generator) & load shedding system during generator’s operation.
Construction of three more LV sub distribution boards designed to cover the power needs for plant’s new equipment
After project’s completion, the necessary electrical testing was carried out so the substation to be delivered to our customer in full operation.
The project is expected to ensure greater energy efficiency and reliability in industry’s operations while meeting safety and compliance requirements, reducing the environmental footprint.
