SABO's Heavy Clay specialists travelled from Greece to the North of US, along with all the necessary equipment, to carry out a complete Factory Audit for a brick plant located in Michigan, USA.
Specifically, our experienced team consisting of Automation and Dryer-Kiln Specialists spent 7 days on-site for the Audit performance. It was about a thorough evaluation of the individual processes of the production environment starting from the initial stage of raw materials preparation up to the packaging of the final product. The aim was to reveal all the weak points of the factory that passively increase the operational cost and reduce the efficiency of the plant.
Also, SABO produced an additional clay analysis report to further study the physical characteristics of the raw material while determining the optimal drying and firing times. To this end, clay samples were directly sent from US to SABO’s laboratories located in Greece.
These facility diagnostics gather data and measurements from both the whole plant and the Kiln temperature tracking and profiling equipment, that passes through the dryer and kiln. The resulting detailed report is a strong competitive advantage for the US ceramic plant, as it evaluates the whole manufacturing process and provides our customer with technical solutions that can eliminate the detected issues.
