Design & Installation of two Robot Bag Palletizers for CARBOKAL

SABO Robotics Team successfully designed & installed two automatic robot bag palletizers for our customer CARBOKAL, subsidiary of IONIAN KALK S.A., the Greek leader in mining and processing calcium carbonate.

Specifically, we installed two Fanuc robot M-410iC/185 equipped with a custom designed gripper controlled by servo motor, capable of efficiently handling products of different sizes. The installation also includes a bag flattener with belts that ensures the flattening of the bags before picking by robot. After loading, the pallets are transported via roller conveyors to the line’s exit. When dealing with sensitive materials, such as fine powders, the system must ensure a smooth handling flow and precise gripper movements, so that the product remains safe throughout the process.
